jus had my first smu presentation. turned out quite alright. in fact i thought it was vv well done!! haha. even e prof praised us ok! of cos la, we put in so much effort la. even went back to sch on sunday to finish off jus qn 2. and even then we couldn complete it by 7pm, so e guys stayed up to check out e vga and virtual canvas thingy. lingkai was still amending e slides at 1 plus am! way to go guys! this goes to show how much smu students will go jus to get e presentation done well. and were all perfectionists. haha.
i feel so wanted. suddenly everyone wants to date me on sat. no la.
OHANA! is set on sat!! 30/09! in conjunction w children's day e next day. its e final event of our LTB project, not counting e followup. so its kinda major and we have to get it well done. videocam-ed and lotsa photos taken. kinda scary, cos we still have loads of stuff undone. i still need to call up e banner guy to make sure hes got my order.
christopher is initiating an ocip gathering this sat, but im sceptical as to whether everyone can make it? everybody go ok! we havent met up for ages!!
smux biking having biking session at east coast fr 3-7pm i think. but cos i dun have a bike, it's kinda ex to rent bikes there, so maybe i wont go.
then tentatively, sat theres bbq at ron's hse. i saed ok alr.
so many things to do, but not enough time!
yesterday i went to smu bazaar and there was this booth that sells notebook skin, u can even customize your own skin by giving them ur design. e prices aren cheap, but cheaper than outside la. im quite interested. i always like personalised stuff. cos it's ME. haha.
oh and yesterday was our 19th mth anni. i actually forgot, cos i was too busy w FA presentation. i didn even rmb yesterday was 26th. until rol sent me a msg early in e morning.
alright. i should be getting ready to go sbl vision fsc for meeting w my LTB mates and e director there. our event's on sat, we should do things a little faster. =)

i can feel e stress now. suddenly all e profs are telling us abt quizzes and assignments, that are all occurring in week 7!!! why cant they spread them out? oh yar, and quizzes and assignments actually carry marks and quite a weightage of your gpa, so better do them properly! see wad i mean. everything u do is abt ur grade. one mistake, and u gotta extra hard for e next one to pull up e grade. im looking fwd to my dec break.
so week 7 theres biz law 'test', FA quiz and LTB quiz. LTB also can have quiz.. i can jus die la. cos i havent been reading e LTB text and even if i did, im sure i wont be able to rmb all e leadership models and team management stuff. my comms assignment that makes up 25% of e grade is on this fri. kinda scared. argh. why is it so competitive here? everyone is fighting to speak, all in e name of CLASS PARTICIPATION. i think theyre over emphasising this pt. making e culture lydat..

i jus realise how un-happening smu is. haha. dun be deceived by our hip marketing. we jus noe how to dress well and this gives others e false impression that weve got a life. actually we dun. we're bogged down by lotsa projects and random tasks.. u look at our timetable, ull think we lead a damn stress-less life. cos we only have 1 3hr seminar for each mod. but trust me, e rest of e day is taken up by preparing for presentations and projects and homework!! dun think theres no hw, theres lots of hw! actually depending on ur prof and whether or not you wanna do. of cos yoo can choose not to do. but its for your own good. if u dun do ur hw, pre-read e notes, and keep up w e pace of e mod, your exams will be damn screwed. so to those whore thinking of coming smu, THINK AGAIN!
haha. that isn reallie an objective point of view. smu can be kinda fun too. if yoore involved in e sch/ cca activities. if yoo shun away and focus solely on e academics, basically yoo have no life la. recently i joined smux biking and xseed. theres skating session this fri, should be gg w lin xin (new fren met at smux info session). im quite apprehensive abt skating w e pros. haha. and im in YAH, now drawing up proposal. im in asoc games sub com. and im in mic too. e singing club. haha. all these extra stuff besides e normal sch workload. i hope my grades aren compromised.
oh ya and one thing. smu students are damn competitive and kiasu. theyre vv competent too, cos they can deal w lotsa stuff and still do well in exams. i dunno how they do it, i hope i can acquire this skill too. ;) everything u do here will affect ur gpa in one way or another, so yoove got to be consistent and not slack at all. that is wad making it all so tiring.
but ive got a feeling ill lead a vv interesting and meaningful life here.

ppl ard me seemed to have loads of work to do.. i have alot to do too. jus that it e stuff i do didn seem to be e same as e rest.. im busy w stuff like gg for ccas, tuition, gg for workshops, signing up for this and that.. time for my hw? bah. i did read thru my FA text and i thought i understood it. until today when e grp was presenting, they talked abt some concepts that i have no recollection of. i thought i knew what i read. apparently not. bother!
tmr's kinda busy too. i got an LTB presentation to make. its not graded but still its a presentation la. ive got cardiodance in e evening den games com meeting. luckily i dun have class on thurs. but thurs smux having inline skating. i feel like gg leh.. fr 330 to 7pm. learn how to skate, den from 8-10pm theres aikido. im still contemplating whether i wanna join. e ppl there seems fun.. reallie nice ppl. oh ya! and i signed up for this shoe designing workshop on next thurs. cool! i dragged agnes along w me too. haha. wah all packed.
okies. im gg to start fr chapt one of FA again, before i go for YAH meeting later.
hmm even though im like damn busy now, i prefer it this way so that i dun have free time to let my imagination run wild. life is more interesting this way too. =D
