everyday i go online, ck or zhexian or marc will ask me, "how come today never go out arh?" make me sound like i haf no life, everyday cooped up at home. bleah. tmr ill be gg out ok! meeting sp and huitian for dinner.
on wed, ill have OCS talk in e morning, den ASOC outing in e afternoon.
on thurs, ill go for Acc academic briefing, den SMUX outing in e afternoon until nite i guess.
fri im gg k box w my Beach Party (CIP) grp. outing again! yay! havent sung in a long time! =) EXCITED!!
i jus passed woeilin her bday pressie. so happi she liked it. of cos she must like it wad. i MADE it for her leh. ahahha. shes my fav cousin, of cos must do smth special for her ma. ;)

im back!! a break fr e camps! theres so much to say and i dunno where to start!
lets start off w e smux camp. its one of e most challenging and fun camps ive been to, seriously. ive never tried so many extreme sports in jus 2.5 days. its amazing!
like ive mentioned in my previous post, we did trekking on e first day. started off fr near scgs that unused railway station and trekked all e way to clementi area. got lotsa mosquitoe bites and nearly tripped over branches. we even walked thru a long stetch of muddy water, almost slipped too. haha. luckily we had e guys to support us. theyre reallie a nice bunch, lots of crap, esp manfred. manfred so happens to be marcus's best buddy, and marcus told me to look out for this eyecandy in smux camp, and so coincidentally, we are in e same grp. haha. other guys in my grp include nick (victorian too), roy (real gentleman, always offering to refill my bottle, cos he wants to drink!!), ck (quiet at first, but actually a real joker), jonathan (fr acjc who cant speak chi properly) and finally manfred (scandalous guy w lotsa flings), haha. my description not bad eh. girls we have chaw mun (nicknamed dorothy, aiya long story la), deep (small sized girl but vv sporty), rita (our tai-tai!), huiling (shortest!! haha) and me! so as i was saying, most of e guys were fr ocs, or at least command sch, so theyre quite fit and strong. can help to support us fr falling down or climbing up and down blah blah.
2nd activity was nite biking. we rode fr where we stopped trekking all e way until west coast where we spent e 1st nite. we started at abt 8pm, and reached west coast at ard 12 plus 1am.. not too sure abt e timing but abt there la. travelled along e expressway, and stopped along petrol kiosks to pick up some food and drinks. thanks to roy who paid for our food first. oh ya, did i mention i alwaes kope their food.. haha. roy will always share his food w e girls.. haha. so we dun have to pay anything!! yay! nite biking was tiring but damn shiok. tiring when we rode up e jurong hill, but shiok when we zoomed down. ahha. we arranged ourselves in a single file, w alternate guys and girls, so that we can look out for one another. we didn shower e first day cos there wasn showering facilities at west coast! dunno how e guys managed to shower too.. haish. we slept ard 3.30am and woke up 7am e next day.
2nd day morning we did roller blading. surprisingly all e guys can roller blade and all e girls cant, except for deep. so again, e guys helped to teach us roller blade. jon and nick can roller blade damn well la, performing stunts here and there. haha. show off!
okies, so aft that, in e aftnoon we did kayaking. i thought that was e most fun part of e camp. we did it in pairs, one guy and one girl. again, e guys are e experienced ones in kayaking and cos theyre physically stronger, they tend to do most of e job. manfred's my partner, and he reallie helped to alleviate my burden alot. haha. and he said i met his expectations cos i rowed more than wad he expected, (how nice rite). and we provided entertainment to other ppl too, cos were alwaes quarrelling. haha. i wanted to tried capsizing but he refused. oh well. haha. so we kayaked to frog island (a few km off changi coast and back again. ck was paired up w our tai tai and he couldn stop complaining aft e entire thing. apparently he was e engine of e kayak and he appeared so shag. haha. surprisingly, my arm didn ache aft e kayaking trip. was i not trying hard enough? hahaha. poor manfred.
for dinner, we had outdoor cooking. e guys took up e job too. to cook noodles for e girls. we had extra food we bid for, like mashed potatoes, satay chicken blah blah. and we put up a commercial act abt guys being able to breastfeed. nick was such a comical actor! whose idea u may ask, manfred and jon la! aft that we had supper at changi village before we slept at 3 plus am again!
3rd day morning we did diving in a swimming pool at east coast there. they taught us e basics la. like how to put on ur oxygen tank and mask and flippers etc. den have a feel of diving underwater. we even played games in e pool. its quite interesting reallie. den in e aftnoon we had a final telematch before we ended e camp. if there were to be an overall winner, my grp would have won. cos we came in 2nd for almost everything la. grp 3 rocks! i love my grp!! we played alot of stupid games like 'ti-ti-tiu', and 'yee-haw'. for 'yee-haw', e guy came up w a combo to sabo ppl, and we went ard challenging other grps, in e end i think grp 1 did a forfeit cos they lost to us. damn funnie. my grp's signing up for nite biking tog.. im looking fwd to that. =)
wah, wad a long post. and i havent talked abt my SOA camp yet. theres jus too much to talk abt!!
my ASOC camp wasn as fun as SMUX reallie. maybe cos SMUX did more extreme stuff and my grp was more bonded then. not that my ASOC grp was boring and sian. maybe cos a few of us were alr vv shag fr camps previously. but e games were innovative and interesting. i dun rmb all e games, but i can list a few. like captain's ball w guys leg tied to girls' leg. swimming into e pool to retrieve mahjong tiles. girls blindfolded and feeding food to e guys w hands tied up behind their backs. too many station games. 2nd day we did beach games at sentosa. didn do well, won some and lost some too. then we had amazing race. super tiring, cos i rmb we kept running ard catching up w trams and buses. but overall, we had a great time together. e nights were free and easy, so we went to have supper. we all love to eat la! first nite we had roti prata at smwhere which i dunno how to go, and 2nd nite we went to have beancurd at selegie rd. manfred's grp went to club. siao man, so tiring la. haha. initally i suggested watching e lake hse at e cathay, but none of e guys wanna watch. in e end we didn watch movies cos e timing's not right. so we went back to our cosy little 'hut' (actually seminar room 2. smth) and played 'drinking goggles'a nd '3 kings'. dunno why i blur or wad, i ended up losing many times and drinking lotsa alcohol. oh chris provided e vodka and we bought some mixers. theres heineken too. doesn taste good though. i was e first to be knocked out. i slept at 2am, while e rest played until 3 plus. haha.
yep. smu has left a good impression on me. at least for now. haha. i heard smu isn as happening as it appears to be. oh ya, one thing before i forget, everyone loves to do e smu jump. haha. we did it like dunno how many times la, captured on camera. u noe in advertisements, they alwaes feature students jumping like vv happy lydat. ya thats e smu jump.
all in all, i made great frens and i had an enjoyable time spent at e camp. $40 for smux and $25 for ASOC was worth it man. =)

so stressed!! ive got so many things to pack and so little time! everybodys fretting over wad to bring.. aiyo. eating utensils got include plate or not?? stuff like that.. damn stupid la. but anyways its been a long time since ive packed for a camp. quite excited! luckily rol didn bring my backpack to taiwan, if not ill have to find another one. my backpack is like super big la. haha.
i hope i wont be too tired fr smux camp, if not i cant survive for acc camp.

havent blogged for such a looong time!!
okies, tell ya wad ive been up to these days.
ive jus completed abt 75 hrs of cip over e past week, participating in this racial harmony project - the beach party, a carnival that raises funds for charity. nth to do w e beach though. haha. all 100+ of us were divided into 10 grps and each grp is supposed to come up w a design on e theme racial harmony. den well use sand to form e design and glue it onto acrylic pieces. our grp did a four leaf clover w religious symbols on each of e leaf. a vv nice artpiece!! and we spent days coming up w e idea and executing it. and we also had to do a presentation to e committee showcasing how and why we came up w this idea. i made some frens over e week. for e guys theres joel (ultimate 'smoker'), marcus, zhiwei, weibin (our doraemon), and matthias (my vj senior). for girls, theres me, yuelin, jolyn, evelyn and shirley. of cos our facis are nice, and cute too. serene and serena. serena has got this contagious smile that makes her look so cute. shes e happy go lucky kind. haha.
we call joel e smoker cos he can 'smoke' his way thru things vv well, ie talk abt of crap that smhow makes sense. and weibin is our doraemon cos he carries this bag w all e tools and stationery we need. everything is inside. even tweezers! haha. next time we go for lectures nv bring stationery can borrow fr him.
had alot of fun, even though im damn tired now. jus came home fr republic poly (thats where e event is held). in case u dunno whr RP is, its at woodlands. aiyo. waking so early in e morning and taking bus and train up north is damn tiring la. finally i dun have to go back there again tmr. haha. we spent alot of time chatting, gossiping, playing cards, digging each others secrets. haha. we even talked abt our love lives, our bfs/gfs. like how we got tog, for how long, wad happens, how we feel blah blah. were quite a bonded grp la, hope we still stay in touch aft e project.
dear left for taiwan yesterday and i went to send him off. hes gg for abt 3 wks, gonna miss him.
luckily i have loads of camps to occupy my time. first up on next mon would be smux camp! havent started packing yet. tmr still got tuition!! ah! so many things to do! huitian wanna date me also have to queue. haha.
okies, im starting to stink. gonna bathe.

it was such an exciting day today!! e day of matriculation!! haha. it got me all hyped up and ready for school! of cos not forgetting e camps i signed up - SMUX, Acc camp and e compulsory freshmen's orientation camp. cant wait!
ok, e entire day started off w jen being late again! haha. weve come up w this plan, everytime we decide to meet at say 10am, ill tell her to meet at 930am, so shell be on time. haha. ok, i shan embarrass yoo here sister.
there were 10 stations altogether and we (me, jen, amelia and yuelin) only managed to complete abt 6 or 7.. i couldn keep track of which station were at now and which one to proceed on, cos theres simply too many other things to rmb and were like rushing fr one venue to e other.
we began w collection of some doc, den went on to make fee payment (tuition fee + optional stats waiver test), den log in to our smu account and settled e computer stuff. station 5 was phototaking and e collection of smu student card. e card that bears your identification and allows access into e university. psst, weishan actually requested to take photo for a 2nd time!! aiyo! hha. we all jus took one shot la. that vain girl. hahaa. next up, for stations 6 & 7, we had to visit OCS' and OSL' booth to look at e various comm service projects (+ sign up), attend volunteerism talk and sign up for our freshmen orientation. we also went ard looking at e diff 'organisations and faculty booths, and smhow they managed to persuade us to sign up for their camps. so in e end im gg for 3 camps. and i signed up for a comm service project abt sm beach party event that will last fr 18/07 to i think 22/07. den fr 24/07-26/07, ill be gg for SMUX camp, where they introduce u to diving, hiking, trekking, kayaking and all that. cool. straight aft that, fr 27-29, ill be having my accountancy sch camp. im still contemplating whether i shld go for biz camp, dats fr 31/07 to 02/08. wah. like no rest at all man. haha. but im looking fwd to all e camps!! wad a way to start campus life! i heard fr my nus and ntu frens.. how come they only have jus one camp?? they dun seem to have loads of activities too. ahhaa.
so all in all, i spent a total of $102 yesterday leh! jus on signing up for camps and registering for my stats test.
despite spending abt 6-7 hrs in smu, we didn complete all e stations as ive mentioned. so weve decided to go back on mon, to collect our student card (sent for encoding), attend library workshops (for better understanding of e usage of e lib), and finally to purchase our notebooks. tablet rather. rmb e one ho wei kang was using last time during his math lectures? ya thats e one. fr fujitsu. yuelin and amelia seem to have a vv bad impression of acer, and they sorta convinced me to go for fujitsu. though it costs alot more. aye, not to worry, ive got notebook grant!! hahaah. today we actually spent abt half an hr looking at e various notebooks and listening to wad e promoters have to say.. e tablet is definitely more useful to us, but theres one thing i like abt one of e acer models.. its small and light. easy to carry ma. but then again, e weight diff isn that substantial la. e acer one is 1.5kg, while e tablet weighs abt 2kg. i shld be strong enough to carry that to sch rite.. haha.
e international trading talk today was not that boring.. dat was e last thing we covered before we left. e trading track is only offered to finance major students, so ill still think abt it. of abt 50 places available, 20 will be awarded scholarships. meaning they get full funding for their biz studey missions (BSM) and tuition fees for final yr. internships of cos. cool eh.
i cant wait to start my volunteering work and camps. oh ya, we even thought of organising our vv own comm service project. tough work, but its gonna be satisfying and loads of fun!! i noe dear will get vv jealous aft reading this post, dun worry yooll get ur chance too, 2 yrs later!!
everybody work hard k! theres so many things i wanna accomplish in smu, take part in all e fun activities, of cos do well in my studies and make it to e dean's list!! and keep my scholarship of cos. i certainly dun wan e sch to terminate my scholarship, in e event that i dun perform well. so yep. 'new sch revolution'! work hard!!! =D

im embarking on a new project again! haha. i needa use my time more effectively, rather than slacking away my days. i found a slacking partner too! huitian lo!! haha.
okokies. shshsh. i cant tell ya anything abt e project yet, even though i vv much want to!! gotta keep it a secret for now! im prepared to face innumerable failures before success, and im not sure whether i have e perseverance to last it through. i mean i have never tried it before, and i believe ill make a mess out of it. but im willing to try and make mistakes! haha. hopefully i wont vent my frustrations when i fail. *chuckles*
even my mum was sceptical when i told her abt my plans. hai. why cant she have some confidence in me??

italy won e world cup!! yay!
france had put up a good fight, they practically dominated e 2nd half and e extra time. but italy managed to hold on until penalties. me and my sis were laughing at barthez, we thought he wouldn be able to make any saves at e penalty shootout. indeed. haha. hes too short compared to buffon. e italian defence was formidable. cool.
and not to mention e italian captain, cannavaro. hes cool, way too cool.
france could have made a comeback. if not for zidane's dismissal. i dun understand how he could leave his team hanging like that.. apparently he hit his head against that what's-his-name's chest aft that guy tried to block him.. e refs didn notice that until e italians made a big hoo-ha. i saw buffon gg up to one of e officials to complain, and reprimanding him, as if saying 'dun yoo have eyes to see??' haha. so zidane was sent off. of cos he couldn take e penalty. henry too cos he was substituted. and trezeguet missed e penalty shot, e ball hit e crossbar, den onto e ground but didn cross e line. so france lost to italy 3-5. hai.
nonetheless, it was an exciting match. im happy that italy won too! though it shouldve been brazil in e finals. im sure brazil's gonna make a comeback. yep. im sure of it.
youthlink in e straits times today talked abt university admissions for our batch. i didn feel nervous or anything prior to reading e section. but apparently some students are worried abt not fitting in and adapting well to e culture. and of cos making new frens. now im getting a bit worried too. haha. i definitely dun wan to be outcasted. maintaining self discipline is vv impt, esp those staying at hostel. if yoore e kind that loves party and hang out w frens til late at nite, u better haf some self control. home's still e best for me. =)
im fretting over whether i should apply for concession for mrt/bus/both. i feel like taking mrt to go to sch instead of bus (i prefer e convenience). of cos there are buses to smu fr my home, like 133 and 147. but inclusive of e waiting time e entire journey could take 45 mins. its not long compared to gg to vj or work in e past. but its just.. haha. im lazy la can. but e mrt concession only entitles me to 4 rides per day. why isnt it unlimited har.. im so thankful i live jus next to sgoon mrt.

my BMI is 18.04. haha. and i dun have low blood pressure!! yay!
so fun doing e medical check up. were e only weird ones so excited to go for our checkup.
i finally bought my jacket!! yeppie. its e same design as e one i wanted, but diff colour. cos they're clearing stock now, they no longer have e red white one. instead i bought e blue white one. though its of a older model, but i think it looks nicer than e present season ones. and i bought it at 30% off its original price! dun ask me where i got such a good deal. im not gg to tell ya. haha. hmm. okies, beg me and maybe ill tell ya. ;)
ive decided to join e aikido club in smu. same as jen!! we think alike man. haha. gonna be fun!! im gg to keep myself vv busy w loads of activities, join this join that. aft all this is e only time i can enjoy myself before starting to work.

im gg for medical checkup at raffles hospital tmr w jen. e one at bugis. at 10am. hope she wont be late. haha. why must it be private hospital.. and smu even gave me e wrong phone no to call. i tried calling 6311 1130 (provided by smu), but nobody picked up e phone.. so i went to check e yellow pages, and found out that e correct no should be 6311 1111. big diff u noe! wads more, theres no such no in e yellow pages. tsk.
i received an email fr smu, informing me of this upcoming biz briefing on a new 'trade track' for biz students majoring in finance. if i specialise in that, i get to go for biz study mission overseas to visit those oil companies blah blah. damn cool la i think. if i can ill take it up.
france won portugal 1-0. zidane's penalty kick won france a place in e finals. though i support france, i thought portugal played quite well too. they had greater possession of e ball, but they wasted their chances to score. ok la. doesn make a diff to me. italy and france, u both can fight it all out.
im quite interested in e dance classes that fq was talking abt.. but i realise i needa get my student card first before i can qualify for e promotions.. haha. so gotta wait quite a while first. maybe by then i would have lost interest.. ;)
it's not that hard to stop thinking abt smth or smone actually. jus keep urself busy. no wonder in drama serials, e broken hearted will always immerse himself in work to keep out 'unnecessary disturbance'. haha.

this is my new blogskin!! nice? hehe. pretty eh. i esp like e logo, design rather of e 'crown'. it looks classy, cool and majestic, doesn it? and e sentence that says 'Each and everyone of us is a Queen'. how aptly written.. we should have confidence in ourselves, esp women of this age. we are all Queens!!
it's a new skin in conjunction to a new me. yeah. not that i dun like e old me and e old skin, but we need change!! e only permanent thing in e world is change. im still thinking of how to improvise it.. and thanks alot to my sis who came home in e nick of time and saved e day. i was struggling to set up this new skin, making e words fit in e box and all. and she did it all in a matter of 5 mins? no wonder she spends all her time in front of e com.

world cup news:
haha. italy won germany, 2-0!! yoohoo! not that im a huge italy fan, but smhow i support e underdogs (w e exception of brazil of cos). e italians scored 2 goals in e last 2 min of extra time. wad perfect timing. i didn hear e referee blow e whistle signalling e end of e game (maybe he did) cos e goals were too last min.. italians had quite a few shots on target, but either hit e pole or e crossbar. i thought they didn have luck. but i guess lady luck still favoured them to e germans. poor germany. try again next time. haha.
well yesterday i finally went to colour my hair! yay!! haha. jen accompanied me and watched me cut and dye my hair. she enjoyed it.. weird girl. anw, so now my hair is entirely brown, matt blonde and light blonde? i think its golden brown. a bit too much, but still nice la. hahhaa. and my hair is even shorter now, though e style is e same. my hair was alr so short, can u imagine cutting it even shorter.. but all in all, im happy w my new look. i feel refreshed! all thanks to elly, my stylist!
dun worry, im still me. yooll still be able to recognise me. haha. =D
it's time to really start saving. or maybe i should turn to my alternative source of income.. DEAR! money pls.

i cant believe brazil lost to france. we were all in shock as henry scored france's first and only goal. it secured them a place in e semis and kicked brazil out. so disappointing and upsetting for e defending champions. they were trying hard to retaliate aft conceding one goal, but to no avail. e french were closing in too fast on them and they simply have no room to manoevre. wad happened to world no 1 team?
my kaka is gone.. ARGH!
we all thought brazil would make it to e finals.. didn expect france to improve so much in a few matches. but they were reallie good. they seem to appear everywhere, w good coordination, good passes and skills. brazil jus weren good enough.
portugal vs england was kinda boring too. portugal won on penalties. HAHA. and rooney was sent off!! shiok ah! even though e guys saed rooney didn deserve a red card, i thought so too. but who cares, as long as its in portugal's favour. haha. i almost got a heart attack fr e penalties. stupid guy who invented e penalties.
now e top 4: germany vs italy. portugal vs france.
no argentina, no brazil.
wad is e world coming to? i hope finals will be between germany and france. not that im changing sides now, but i hope france can win. haha.
